2 Chainz Biography

 Tauheed Epps is an American rapper and hip-hop artist better known as 2 Chainz. A native of Georgia, he started his career in music when he formed the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, along with a high school friend. Their debut album, entitled Supply and Demand was a modest success. Epps followed that with 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. Debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, it became a tremendous success. Within the first week of release, it was sold 147,000 copies. His success with the album has earned him the status of a household name and he quickly rose to the top of the US's hip-hop scene. He's been nominated to six Grammy Awards so far. One of them were awarded to his track "No Problem". After he was found in possession of marijuana and promethazine, he was detained on board a plane leaving Los Angeles International Airport in 2013. His brushes with the law did not affect his popularity. The fourth studio album of his, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was released in June of 2017. Based on a T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz’s first studio album, could be described as his debut work as well as his most popular. The album was an enormous success and climbed to the top of the US Billboard 200. The album was also sold out within a few weeks. The album was sold out to 623,000 over a year. The album, with songs that were a hit, including "No Lie" and 'Birthday Song' and'I'm Different' was also nominated for  the 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. The majority of reviews were positive. 2 Chainz married Kesha Wade in 2013. The couple is the proud parents of three kids, Heavenly, Harmony, Halo. Despite having a successful career, he's known for his controversies with the law. Multiple times he has been arrested for drug possession.
