Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her roles in movies like 'Apartment Hunting,  Men with Brooms' and 'The Tree of Life.' She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and later relocated to Alberta, Canada where she graduated from high school. In her teens she began to become interested in acting. She was a student at the National Theatre School' in Montreal. Later she attended the Moscow Theatre School. Her first appearance on television was in the year 1996 as a supporting actress on the Canadian series, 'The Rez. The same year, she appeared in series' like 'Forever Knight' and 'Ready or Not.' In the latter part of the 90s, she also made her movie debut with the film titled Papertrail. In the following years, she acted in movies like "Men with Brooms" and 'Cypher. She was also an actor in a supporting role on shows such as 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery and 'Blue Murder. Although she continued to appear in films throughout the decade, her films appearances were far less than those of her TV roles. In 1998, she also played the lead role as "Colleen Blessed" in the Canadian drama series "Power Play.' It was on for two seasons with 26 episodes, and was praised by critics and advertisers. The actress was nominated for the 'Gemini Award for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett was born to her in June of 2013. But she did not reveal the name of her son's father. According to some reports, her ex-boyfriend is her father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and Kari Matchett began dating in the late 1990s. The couple got married in 1998. They divorced in 2006 after their marriage was broken up
