Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian actress and singer. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her main character. She also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she directed and wrote). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and an executive in marketing and sales. His work required a lot of travel, which resulted in many relocations for the family. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mom and secretary, passed away in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother who lived in Kitchener (Ontario) played a part in raising her daughter. Her younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister, Jacqueline She is a journalist for magazines and a television host in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian origins on her father's side, and predominantly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was educated at Stanley Park Senior Public School, was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were the first actors to be cast as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the role, said she was a finalist to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The show ran for three seasons. She left the show following the year 1996.
