Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born July 23 1970 was an American actor. Cordelia Chase played the role as Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural drama (1997-1999) and the spin-off show Angel (1999-04). She also appeared in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's role in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was the main character in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] daughter of Christine who was a bird sanctuary worker, and Don Carpenter, a salesman. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also a member of a song-and dance troupe that performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family relocated to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was 15 years old. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter traveled all over Europe following her graduation. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, property manager as well as a clerk. In 1991, she worked as cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles. She was swimming in San Diego with two male acquaintances when Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist who was attacking them, swarmed them. In the midst of the struggle that ensued, her companions and Hubbard were killed, forcing Hubbard to flee the scene. Both friends survived the attack. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to 56 year prison for a string of rapes and thefts. Carpenter grabbed Hubbard's flashlight a police-issue flashlight, from the beach. The flashlight was a key piece of evidence against Hubbard.
