Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 in 1985) is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is most well-known for her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series in the role of Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress was born Maya Hartwell. She also appeared in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for a year during the ninth grade. She lived in Poland with her uncle and went to a school in Jelenia Gora. In the following years, she attended Vancouver Film School. After her brother introduced her the Pulp Fiction, she became attracted to acting. Her acting career began in 2002 by appearing in Jeremiah and John Doe. Between 2007 and 2009 she played Andy Jensen in Kyle XY. She was a part of Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film, in 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular in the series) in the TV drama Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. The actress later appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as the guest star on Jane Espenson’s second season, web-based romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film by Eli Roth. Though it was made in 2012, The Green Inferno was international made available in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. It came out in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second season Netflix film You.
