Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was born to actresses Melissa D. Canaday, and Edward James Hyland in New York City. When she was just four years old she entered the industry with voiceovers and commercial work. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection (1998) followed by Another World (1964) where she played "Rain Wolfe" who was a kid found in the park who was fostered and raised by Josie. Sarah would work with Amy Carlson ("Josie") at least a couple of times more: Falcone (2000). Law & Order (1990). Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast as one of the younger "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) in the same year that she was also cast in the role of "Molly" on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) featuring Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth. Also, Joe Gould's Secret (2000) and Falcone (2000). In addition to her work in television and film, Sarah studied voice, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, Theatre Dance, and performed with her tap and Theater dance class in "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers.A New York-born , raised girl, Sarah spent much of her time in television, film, and also voicing numerous radio ads and also traveling with her father Edward James Hyland, as he worked in many different theaters across the country. When she was home-schooled by her mother, she attended public school through second grade. Sarah was accepted in 6th year to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) which she attended until 2008 when she graduated. When Sarah was 18 when she was 18, she relocated to Los Angeles, CA and within two weeks she had been able to land a plane named "My American Family". After she was accepted, the name was changed into Modern Family (2009). Up to date, Sarah portrays "Haley Dunphy" the oldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) was nominated for the Emmy award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
