Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, the younger daughter of a media mogul, producer, and musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is her elder sister. She has five half-siblings from her father's other relationships. Her father is African American, and her mother Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from the emigrants who emigrated from Russia as well as Latvia). Rashida was raised Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones declared that her mixed race heritage was not recognized by the public until the 1970s. Jones began her professional acting debut in The Last Don, a 1997 mini-series based on the novel written by Mario Puzo. In 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard University. He attended the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. The school awarded her the most likely to succeed. Arabic (O+ O'UO-O(c), her name) means "Major," adult, wise, mature or older. Rashida's motheris Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish heritage as well as Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her paternal grandparents came from South Carolina and Mississippi, respectively. Her maternal grandfather was born to New Yorkers while her maternal grandmother was of Eastern European Jewish heritage. As of the end of 2009 she was playing three distinct characters in the show, including "Karen" in the sitcoms of the past: Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
