Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her father. She is the middle child having one older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career with City Boy (1992), an original television film. In 1993, following her debut film, she was a candidate for the role of "Becky" on the TV show Roseanne (1988). After Alicia Goranson left the show to go to college, the show was searching for a replacement. Sarah completed her high school degree in 1995, while filming the 1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, Sarah played in two films: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996), where she was an actress who was named Krista Wilson. In 1998, one year after Roseanne (1988) was over, Sarah was asked to be a part of a show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). It was based on a TV movie with the same name that was titled Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) in which Sarah was also a part of. Sarah took over the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. It was stated that she would like to stop acting and go to college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sibling on Roseanne (1988), although she's much younger in real life. She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, in which she was presented with an award for best single of 1999. September 1999: Appeared in local Vancouver performances of the theater, at the age of 8. She is fluent in French and German. She works at a hospice for sick children and also works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her leisure moments, Chalke prefers cooking with friends (especially Thai and sushi) as well as playing the guitar and hiking, skiing (she's an instructor), snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is an attorney, and both parents operate an adoption agency for children. In the past she went with her parents to China to facilitate the adoption of several orphans there.
