Gavin O'Connor is her husband. She was married to him on June 22, 2013. They have one child. Julian McMahon was her previous husband. Brooke Elizabeth, a Spanish-American teenage sitcom called 'Out the Blue' in 1995, was an actress who was the lead character Peg. It premiered in 1995 and ended with the final episode of 1996. In the TV series she performed with passion and was seen in all of its episodes. Then, Burns made an appearance in the action-drama show 'Baywatch'. in 1998. She was then seen in  the second version of 'Baywatch' titled 'Baywatch: Hawaii'until she left the show due to her first pregnancy. She appeared in 33 episodes. Her part in the 2001 film Shallow Hal was written specifically for Burns after the Farrelly brothers said she was the "prettiest dorky girl" during her audition. In 2008, she co-starred in a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year which she co-starred with Henry Winkler.
